For our client, CRH Moravacem, Workforce is searching for a professional to join their team. CRH is one of the world’s leading companies in the building materials and concrete industry, recognized globally for its strong focus on innovation, safety, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives, while in Serbia the company operates through its Moravacem production site near Ćuprija. We are looking for experienced and innovative profiles who will join the team on the role of:

                                                                   Automation engineer

                                                                      (Paraćin, Popovac)

Role Purpose:

Ensures reliable operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of plant automation systems. The role supports production efficiency, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot PLC/DCS/SCADA systems to ensure stable plant operations.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation hardware/software to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Integrate and calibrate plant instruments (weigh feeders, gas analyzers, VFDs, sensors, kiln cameras, etc.) according to schedules.
• Support commissioning, testing, and validation of automation systems during new installations or upgrades.
• Implement and support digital transformation and industry 4.0 initiatives,
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to resolve issues and optimize process performance.
• Promote a strong safety culture

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, or related field
• Experience: 3–6 years in industrial / process automation
• Core systems: PLC, SCADA, and/or DCS (Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, Yokogawa)
• Equipment exposure: VFDs, UPS systems, instrumentation & control devices
• Industry background: Continuous or heavy industry (cement, power, chemicals, metals)
• Role setup: No direct supervisory responsibilities
• Language: Working proficiency in English
