Workforce, for our client, a construction company engaged in the design and construction of industrial and commercial buildings, is looking for a candidate for the position:

                                                                                                                           Construction Manager

Location 1: Croatia

Location 2: Serbia

Job description:

  • Oversees and organizes all company operations across construction sites and active projects.
  • Builds technical and human resources capacities to support the company’s long-term development goals.
  • Ensures efficient execution of contracted projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supports business negotiations and ensures reliable delivery of agreed works and services.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of invoices, costs, and financial activities, while supporting financial discipline and planning.
  • Defines priorities, allocates resources, and prepares payment plans and cash outflow forecasts.
  • Visits construction sites regularly to monitor work quality and communicate with Project Managers and Site Managers.
  • Prepares reports on the status of active projects and monitors overall project performance.
  • Leads and coordinates teams involved in design, construction, interior fit-out, furniture production, joinery, and consulting services.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and improves results related to construction, production, design, and consulting activities.
  • Defines project timelines, monitors delivery deadlines, optimizes processes, and plans required resources.
  • Maintains relationships with key partners, suppliers, and clients, including defining special agreements when needed.
  • Supports complaint resolution, ensures compliance with legal regulations and company procedures, and monitors market trends, pricing, costs, and quality standards.
  • Ensures implementation of quality, environmental, health and safety procedures, while proposing corrective and improvement measures.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in design, construction, and/or production.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managerial or leadership positions.
  • Active knowledge of English language.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, construction processes, interior fit-out, and production.
  • Valid Category B driving license, due to field work and travel requirements.
